What inspired you to become an artist?

Charlie Steg: I am an artist by choice and passion. I grew up inspired by the beauty of the world and the limitless potential of creativity. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease at a very young age, which caused chronic fatigue and a lack of motivation. I believe that illness and disease can be used for a higher purpose, and this inspiration led me to create a new path for myself. I discovered my passion for art in my early twenties and it has grown into my entire life. At the age of 20, I opened my atelier and started painting professionally.

Why is good art important?

Charlie Steg: Good art has the power to engage people on a whole new level. It can inspire, challenge, and even transform people’s lives. Good art is not limited to one particular time or place. It is available to everyone and transcendent of space and time. It is an expression of the human spirit and it is important because it is one of the only ways to communicate with and touch other people. Good art is not limited to one particular time or place. How do you keep motivation up as an artist?

Charlie Steg: Creative inspiration is a very difficult thing to find. You have to be in the right place at the right time and open up to it. It is also important to maintain a healthy balance between work and rest. The human body and mind need proper nutrition, hydration, and rest in order to function optimally. This will help you stay focused on your goals and develop your creativity. It can also help you avoid burnout and exhaustion.

Charlie Steg advice on how to create great art

Charlie Steg: In order to create great art, we must first be inspired by a subject, ideas, and colors that we have never seen before. Only then, can we create art that will inspire and engage others. You have to put your passion into it, and find something that you can live and die with. Don't just paint pictures, paint a story. It is important to remember that art is not a skill that can be learned on a computer with a mouse. It is an experience of the soul that can only be experienced in the flesh. It is the triumph of feeling, not thinking, and is only experienced through the senses. This is why it is important to keep motivation up as an artist.
